Improving Your Nighttime Pictures

Editor’s Tip: Night photos are often the most difficult– even for the best photographers. Next time you’re taking pictures at night, try turning off the flash. It may sound weird but the photos can actually turn out brighter! If the flash is off, you can decrease the shutter speed. This will allow for more light to enter through the camera’s aperture. But with a slow shutter speed movement will appear blurry in the picture. Here are 3 tips to keep your camera steady to avoid the blurriness: rest your arm on something, use a tripod, or set the camera down and put it on a self-timer. Give it a try!
